ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the broader claims of businesses regarding their environmental products or the environmental benefits of their products in the U.S. According to the article, it is due to the stiff competition for consumers that favored green products. However, many of the companies are making false and misleading claims which is known as greenwashing. In response the Federal Trade Commission released the "Guides for The Use of Environmental Marketing Claims" known as "Green Guides."
