ABSTRACT
The article presents the results of an investigation conducted into the outbreak of Listeria monocytogenes infections linked to pasteurized milk from a local dairy in Massachusetts in 2007. The Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH) identified listeriosis isolate on October 24, 2007 with a pulsed-field gel electrophoresis (PFGE) pattern indistinguishable from an isolate. A third case was identified on November 20. Epidemiologic investigation revealed that a patient was exposed to milk produced in a local dairy.
