The article reports on the acquisition proposal of Vishay Intertechnology Inc. to the overall stocks of integrated circuits manufacturer International Rectifier Corp. (IR) in the electronics industry in the U.S. After having been rejected for its $1.6 billion acquisition offer, Vishay initiates the slight increased of its unsolicited offer to $1.7 billion to acquire IR. Though results still unknown, Vishay continues the proposal seeing the acquisition to complement its product lines.
