The article offers information on the building-information modeling (BIM), a system designed to analyze and document building designs to deliver greener and more resource-efficient buildings in the U.S. The BIM involves the use of digital building model created from consistent design information which enables a faster decision-making and better documentation. It states that Design West Engineering in San Bernardino, California has adopted the BIM software in early 2007.
