ABSTRACT
This section offers news briefs on the agricultural industry in Great Britain as of October 10, 2008. The Renewable Transport Fuels Obligation (RTFO) environmental standards of the government was met by almost all 97% of biofuels sourced from British feedstocks, based on a Renewable Fuels Agency report. Prices of red diesel has declined as crude oil fell to an eight-month low of $86 per barrel. The launch of Agricultural Land Investment Co. was delayed by investment management company Schroders due to poor economic and stock market conditions.
