ABSTRACT
The article reports that the organizers of Metropolitan Bancorp are working to generate $25 million from investors. According to president Reed Van Boerum, his team can draw in customers from existing community banks that are too concentrated on problem loans to serve clients well. It is said that the bank, which targets small and midsize businesses, will open in Las Vegas, Nevada in December 2008.
