ABSTRACT
The article looks at the 2008 political platforms of the Democratic and Republican parties in the U.S. According to the article, the Democratic platform is a significant leap forward from the previous as it made sure that women's issues on health care, economy, work, family and small businesses are well covered. It also denounces sexism and supports Equal Rights Amendment. The Republican platform reveals a new found ideological dedication to empowering people through choice except women's reproductive options as it aims to undo Roe versus Wade.
