ABSTRACT
The article explores the significance of management time, relating to the interaction between managers and their bosses, their peers and their subordinates. Particularly, it deals and assesses the importance and usage of the three kinds of management time, highlighting the boss-imposed time, system-imposed time, and self-imposed time. The ways and approaches managers do in handling these types of management time are regarded, considering as well the problems they encounter in dealing with subordinates' problems. Furthermore, it also regards the use of monkey-on-the-back metaphor to examine how subordinate-imposed time comes into being and what the superior can do about it.
