ABSTRACT
The article offers information on the Rosa soulieana, a rose species parent. Hybridizer Herf Swim of Ontario-based Armstrong Nurseries did some breeding with Rosa soulieana. Jack Christensen managed the breeding program following Swim's retirement in early 1973. Several breeds of Rosa soulieana have been introduced through Weeks Roses.
