Novartis net profit jumps 30%

The article reports that pharmaceutical company Novartis India has reported a 29.77% increase in the net profit at 29.64 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2008 compared to 22.84 crore in the same period in 2007. According to Novartis, its total income during the first quarter also increased by 10.73% at 167.14 crore against 150.94 crore in 2007. It adds that the net profit was higher because of the increased sales.
