ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the sale of Red Ruby Devon cattle at Auctioneers Greenslade Taylor Hunt. There were 356 head catalogued and an attendance of well over 500 people. The Gittisham cattle dispersed at Hayne Farm ended up traveling as far afield as Cornwall and Scotland, with interest expressed from abroad. And with over 60 livestock purchasers, the sale topped at 2000gns for the polled cow Gittisham Daisy 6th and her third heifer calf born in February 2008.
