ABSTRACT
The article discusses the announcement of Object Management Group (OMG) to work with FIX Protocol Ltd. (FPL). The plan of the two companies on the unified modeling language (UML) raised question about the possible imact on the International Organization for Standardization's (ISO) 20022 messaging technology, of which UML is the core element. It concludes that the project is going to help better support message translation and have different syntaxes coming along the transaction train.
