North American semi equipment sales remain weak in August

The article reports on the declining economic performance of semiconductor manufacturing equipment industry in North America in 2008. Sales of semiconductor equipment for the third quarter reveal a weak performance, posting $884 million in orders from $889 million in July and around 36% declined in orders compared on August 2007. Worldwide billings also mark a 1% less than in July and 37% less on August 2007.
