ABSTRACT
The article offers a look at new designs and ammunition types that are extending the capabilities of the shoulder-fired 40-millimeter grenade launcher. The new grenade launchers feature lightweight alloys, composite materials and new warhead technologies. They include the XM320 40-millimeter Grenade Launcher Module (GLM) from Heckler & Koch. Another is the Mk 13 Enhanced Grenade Launcher Module developed by FN Herstal. INSET: KBP's Move to 40 mm.
