ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the launch of a Six Sigma quality wave by American Dryer Corp. (ADC) which is located in Fall River, Massachusetts. As stated, this methodology is used to improve quality and enhance Lean Manufacturing efforts. The company maintains two separate assembly lines for its AD and Solaris lines. Moreover, the company has announced the first Six Sigma award to its employee team for orchestrating a 50% reduction in lead times, while quadrupling large-dryer production.
