The article offers information on the developments and efforts made by the British Society of Gastroenterology (BSG) to improve its role in meeting its obligations to members in Great Britain. The society plans to change the format of its symposia that will be sponsored jointly with other sections and specialist societies. It will ensure to have a renewed emphasis on practice skills and their application.
