ABSTRACT
The article presents a study regarding the role of intensive multifactorial intervention in reducing the mortality of patients with type 2 diabetes and microalbuminuria and the author's comments on it. Randomized controlled trials were conducted on 160 diabetics at a diabetes center in Denmark. It describes the procedure of the study, which reveals that intensive therapy reduces mortality in the patients at 5.5 years following a 7.8-year randomized trial.
