ABSTRACT
The article reports that the Explosives Branch within the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) Science and Technology Directorate plans to conduct Standoff Technology Integration Demonstration Program (STIDP) to address the threat from suicide bombers and vehicle-borne improvised explosive devises. According to the DHS the ultimate goal of the program is to prevent explosive attacks at large public events through a spiral development approach.
