ABSTRACT
The article discusses the results of a research paper published in a 2008 issue of the "Journal of Personality and Social Psychology," by Cameron Anderson and Aiwa Shirako, titled "Are individuals' reputations related to their history of behavior?" The study, which used master of business administration degree students as subjects, investigated the degree to which people's negotiation styles and social networking connections affected their reputations for cooperativeness or selfishness. The results indicated that reputations, while often generally accurate, are not always so.
