ABSTRACT
The article focuses on compliance provisions affecting payment cards. Important compliance provisions affecting cardholder data security should be taken into notice by employers. A collaboration between Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and JCB resulted to landmark compliance requirements for organizations that store, transact or process payment card information. Assessment standards that ensure overall compliance have been adopted by the PCI Security Standards Council.
