ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the bead sample card collections of Dan Frost at the Illinois State Museum. The sample card is considered as the largest and oldest type, wherein it depicts the types of beads sold and used during the mid-19th century to early 20th century. However, the reliability of the labels were being questioned, due to its similarities from other sample cards. Photographs of the sample cards, containing the different types of beads and where it was discovered, are presented.
