ABSTRACT
The article discusses the possible impact which a proposal by the U.S. Treasury Department to bailout the banking industry in the U.S. may have on community banks. Efforts by regulators and trade groups to have the U.S. government include construction loans for housing developers, which according to the article, are problematic for community banks, in their bailout plans are discussed.
