ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the solutions made by Tim Friend, a plant supervisor in reducing energy consumption without compromising water purity of swimming pools at Veterans Memorial Park in South Windsor, Connecticut. It says that Friend and his team implemented several strategies which resulted to the implementation of the ABB variable-frequency drives (VFD). The author said that by installing this, it could reduce pump motor speed of the pool and thus providing major power savings.
