ABSTRACT
The article focuses on factors which affect the decision-making in perinatal medicine and neonatal care. It provides the three aims of perinatal medicine and neonatal care. It gives information on the report of the Nuffield Council on Bioethics and the policy statement of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). The guidelines which were agreed by the Nuffield Council and AAP regarding treatment decisions for infants are also discussed.
