ABSTRACT
The article reports that the price of liquid crystal display (LCD) televisions (TVs) and monitors will tumble due to weak demand. To combat the falling prices, some LCD makers such as South Korea's LG Display Co. and Taiwan's AU Optronics Corp. are planning to cut back on production. Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. and Sharp Electronics Corp., however, have indicated they will continue to ramp up shipments.
