ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. which announced it has joined the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA's) SmartWay Transport Partnership. The latter earlier approved using Goodyear's Fuel Max linehaul tires on SmartWay tractors and trailers. SmartWay is a joint program between the trucking industry and the EPA which seeks to increase energy efficiency and reduce greenhouse-gas emissions and air pollution.
