ABSTRACT
The article discusses devices that can help U. Army soldiers train for improvised explosive devices (IEDs) in Iraq. Increment 2 Training IED is a non-pyrotechnic IED simulator that uses carbon dioxide and talcum powder to create the smoke effect of an explosion. CREW 2 training device simulates the actual device field to units to electronically disable IEDs. Chamelion trainer simulates the Chameleon disarming device using software.
