ABSTRACT
This section offers news briefs in Portugal as of December 25, 1909. China rejected the proposal of the Portuguese Government to arbitrate the boundary dispute in Macao. The Portuguese ministry has resigned taking responsibility with regard to certain Church controversies that reached an acute stage, and Dom Francisco José de Madeiros, the Minister of Justice and Ecclesiastical Affairs, was the first to surrender his portfolio.
