ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the Better World campaign of BT, which ensures that young people have the communication skills they need. Some 3,000 staff volunteers are working in local schools, delivering lessons for pupils and teachers. Some may say this is a worthy but token activity that distracts from the core work of the business. But businesses rely on the smooth functioning of the society of which they are a part, and the lives of consumers, employees and their communities.
