Seamless ad insertion

The article focuses on the seamless advertisement insertion technology. The technology for regional ad insertion has mainly been based on MPEG-2 codecs. The existing MPEG-2 advertisement insertion technology was designed and developed using rate shaping as its starting point. Rate shaping is extensively used by service providers who wants to groom a set of channels into a fixed band-width pipe.
