ABSTRACT
The article analyzes the capability of Swift, a standards facilitator, applications provider with a secure messaging service and operator of a managed network service, to reinvent itself amid challenges. A securities professional expects an Internet-based Swift service for corporations. One network competitor, meanwhile, sees that Swift is enjoying revenue growth while several vendors observe an added leeway given to Swift executives to take control of the business.
