ABSTRACT
The article presents information on the business planning of Internet entrepreneur Hiroshi Mikitani from Japan. He said that he would step down as chief executive officer (CEO) of his online conglomerate, Rakuten, when the transaction volume topped a trillion yen. It is stated that apart from the expansion of Rakuten via shopping malls, it plans to launch online businesses including a portal, a travel agency a discount stock brokerage and Web search.
