ABSTRACT
The article reports that Allergan has completed the analysis of its two Phase III trials exploring the use of Botox for the prophylactic treatment of headache in adults suffering from chronic migraine. Scott Whitcup of Allergan says Botox treatment provided benefit to these patients whose lives have been impacted by the condition. The company plans to file a supplemental biologics license application (SBLA) with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to use Botox in chronic migraine by 2009.
