ABSTRACT
The article reports that financing has been secured by Mobile Satellite Ventures for the launch of its next-generation satellites and possibly pursue a merger with Inmarsat. Mobile Satellite aims at integrating satellite communications into day-to-day operations of first-response organizations. According to its parent company SkyTerra Communications, the Harbringer Capital Partners Funds has agreed to give $500 million in debt financing.
