The article presents a warning for livestock farmers in Great Britain to avoid winter feeding and bedding plans. Farmers faced with wet grain and straw should act now to avoid winter feeding and bedding plans being affected by the wet harvest, warns Beef Consultant David Hendy. Hendy says that farmers should be thinking about crimping when moisture content is more than 22 percent. Keenan Rumans nutritionist Seth Wareing also recommends treating anything up to 20 percent moisture content with caustic soda.
