The article focuses on the impact of the economic turmoil on the natural catastrophe securitizations in the U.S. According to the author, investors were still investing into these securities since they believe that they are a great diversifier. Judy Klugman of Swiss Re Capital Markets predicts that issuance of natural catastrophe bonds would continue to increase by the end of 2008. She believes that there are still investors who would be interested in the Triple X and A-Triple-X asset class.
