ABSTRACT
The article profiles the three U.S. insurers that have expanded overseas to boost growth and diversity revenues. The strength of Hartford Life Insurance, which set up legal framework in Japan is working with banks and securities firms as distributors. Meanwhile, the key to Prudential Financial's business model is the quality of its sales professionals called life planners. On the other hand, New York Life Insurance Co. has developed supplemental distribution through banks.
