The article discusses the certified financial planning (CFP) industry, examining the issue of what executives expect of new, junior CFP's at a company while also examining what young CFP's expect from the firms for whom they work. The article examines how the expectations of each side, the junior CFP and the CFP executive, match up. Topics include the opinions of young CFP's as well as a CFP who had previously worked in a different career and researching firms that best fit one's personality. Also discussed is working in the back office.
