ABSTRACT
The article reports on the lawsuit filed by the owner of Showcase mall CCR/AG Showcase Phase 1 against United Artists (UA) Theater Circuit Inc., the operator of the UA Showcase 8 Theatre in Las Vegas Valley, on July 30, 2008. UA Showcase 8 is an eight-screen theater that opened in 1997. Accusations include calling the theater the worst-performing movie theater, parking payments to the owner were stopped, and that UA has threatened to finish its 20-year lease on the site. In addition to legal costs, the owner of the mall puts damages in excess of $75,000.
