ABSTRACT
The article discusses the development of the Korean Red Cross (KRC) Blood services. A donor registry program has been initiated by the organization in 2000. It says that one of the issues being faced by the KRC is the security of blood safety. The author emphasizes the need for a strong support from the public and South Korean government for the organization's blood management in order to successfully implement such programs.
