ABSTRACT
The article focuses on class actions in equality claims in Great Britain. It states that Harriet Harman, minister for women and equality, presented the Framework for a Fairer Future white paper, which is designed primarily to strengthen and harmonise existing discrimination legislation. Advocates of class action say it would improve access to justice for those whose claims are too low in value to pursue individually. According to the article, many discrimination claims are settled before they reach a court or tribunal.
