ABSTRACT
This section offers news briefs concerning Hungary. Polls conducted by Median, Tarki, Gallup and Nepszabadsag in July 2008 showed that the Hungarian Civic Union party has more support than the ruling Hungarian Socialist Party (MSZP). Unemployment rate in the country went down to 7.6 percent in June 2008. A new Mercedes-Benz plant will be constructed by Daimler in Hungary.
