ABSTRACT
This article reports on the plan to re-open the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum in New York City, in October 2008. USS Intrepid will return to its Manhattan berth at Pier 86 after its renovations. The project to restore the World War II-era carrier and its home pier has been fraught with challenges.
