ABSTRACT
The article reports on the increase in the net income of Wynn Resorts on July 24, 2008 from $89.6 million a year ago to $272 million. It attributes the growth in net income to a $140.7 million deferred tax benefit recorded during the quarter. The gaming revenues of Wynn Las Vegas in Nevada dropped from $159.4 million a year ago to $120.7 million. Wynn Macau in China also rose its revenues by 33% and cash flow by 67.5% in the quarter.
