ABSTRACT
The article reports on the donor companies, charities that benefit, and the amount of the contributions in the Nevada area as of August 25, 2008. Employees of the MGM Mirage will grant $6.9 million to more than 70 Southern Nevada nonprofit organizations. In conjunction with Fireman's Fund Insurance Co., McFadden Insurance donated $7,000 to the Las Vegas Fire Training Academy. To benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Nevada (BBBS), City National Bank is holding a clothing drive and hopes to donate 2,000 pounds of clothing by the end of August.
