The article reports on the 2008 Green Awards "Developer of the Year" recipient Concordia Homes in Henderson, Nevada. It is indicated that Concordia Homes has been building subdivisions to Energy Star standards. They conducted surveys and discovered that housebuyers are interested in reducing their energy consumption and greenhouse emissions. It is stated that they created the Sommerset Community in Henderson that features energy saving devices in the houses. Other features of the houses such as solar panels and energy management systems are mentioned.
