ABSTRACT
The article reports on the role of interleukin (IL)6 and dendritic cells (DCs) in the regulation of T helper cell differentiation and allergic asthma. It discusses the activation of the phosphatidylinositol-3 kinase (PI3k)-Akt pathway due to cell surface expression of c-Kit by DCs and stem cell factor (SCF).
