ABSTRACT
This section offers news briefs on issues related to multiple sclerosis (MS) research. A large-scale analysis suggested that disease-modifying drugs for MS are effective in delaying disability progression in people whose MS started with relapses. Enrollment has begun for two large-scale clinical trials testing the safety and effectiveness of the experimental oral drug BG00012. Researchers from the University of Utah reported that daclizumab reduced activity of MS.
