ABSTRACT
This article reports on the launch of anti-money laundering (AML) initiatives by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in 2008. The SEC is operating a web site for mutual funds seeking guidance on AML compliance. The site compiles AML laws and regulatory guidelines. The commission also introduced a hotline for emergency AML reports.
