The article offers information on how to recession-proof one's business. According to Jaqueline Basile, vice president of human resource (HR) for Arlington, Virginia-based public television network WETA, it is very much the role of HR to prepare for a possible recession. James McCoy, senior vice president of consulting services for Boston, Massachusetts-based Veritude, said that benefits are a strategic asset in a recession, and they can be used in a variety of ways to support business strategy.
